Cats for Adoption

Cats can only be adopted to indoor homes and to families that will promise not to have them declawed. If you are interested in any of the cats listed visit the "Adoption Procedure" page for information on how to adopt.

We also have a courtesy page for individuals looking to place their pet. Please visit our Courtesy Listing page as well for both dogs and cats.

BerdieBerdie
Berdie wandered up to the office of one of our clients. They took her in and contacted us. Since the staff had recently been discussing us possibly helping with a kitten this year, combined with the fact that the family was willing to pay for her spay we decided we could take her. Our one main concern was whether or not she would be outgoing enough to endure the busy Pawtropolis environment. Once her box was set on the counter she wasted no time popping her head up and wanting to get out. It was immediately obvious that she would do just fine here.

She is a gray tabby and we estimate her birthday to be around March 26, 2010. At the time this bio was written we had only had her for two days. She is a mess! She isn't shy at all. Even when the big dogs get dropped off for daycare she runs to the door to check them out (giving a hiss sometimes to let them know clearly who the boss is.) She runs on the counters, makes phone calls, types on the keyboard and, well...makes herself at home. This is a wonderful trait for a cat, meaning that she will be able to adapt to a Berdievariety of environments, kids, dogs, other cats, busy houshold...no problem.

Berdie can only go to a home that will allow her to live indoors only. She can never be declawed; we are happy to work with her new home on ways to teach her house manners. She will begin going home with a staff member occasionally so that she can begin to learn how to behave in a home as well. She has only gone potty in her litter box so far. We feel Berdie is going to make a fantastic family pet.

Featured Guests
Featured guest pet Meet Lacy. Lacy is a Jack Russell terrier. She is a special girl to us. Mom says Lacy can become quite anxious sometimes. However, coming to Pawtropolis has really helped her. Lacy gets excited the second mom mentions "going to daycare." All the staff love her!

Featured Adoptable
Featured Adoptable Meet Jay and our other retired racing greyhounds. Greyhounds make wonderful pets. Despite their large size and that they are bred for racing, greyhounds are actually more like big couch potatoes. Learn more about them on the "Dogs for Adoption" page.
